to Vang church there is a rune stone (Vangssteinen). "Vangssteinen" is about 2
meters tall, and the front is highly decorated. At the top there is a lion
figure. Below there is foliage and a ribbon. 42 runic letters are cut into the
stone. The runes are translated as follows: "The Goose-sons put up this stone
after Gunnar, their brother.". There are those who translate it as Gunnar,
their nephew.
